If you park at the Legion Home the Barb float will be there at 09:12 and will proceed to the school/cemetery area.   
Following the service, refreshments will be hosted at the Legion.

Monroe County VETERANS' DAY PARADE,   Stroudsburg       (Monroe County PA Veteran Association)
We will be participating with our USS Barb float.    Parade starts at Stroudsburg High School, and steps off at 1 PM.   Allow enough time.  We are in Division B/6.  
Enter Gate 3 Via Linden St.       Parking available for private vehicles.  [ GPS: 1100 W Main St, Stroudsburg, PA 18360 ]
We will not immediately return to the school after parade ends. (For those parking at the school, please take note.)
We will be afforded special parking at parade end for Q & A [ show and tell if you will. ]
There will be a closing ceremony and food available ( hamburgers/hot dogs at no charge ) for all the participants, as well as a raffle drawing and tricky tray.    
Anyone who is a parade participant and wishes to leave his or her vehicle at Dansbury Park (parade end), a shuttle bus service is offered from 10:30 A.M. to 12:30 P.M.

Parade lineup is at the West end of Delaware Avenue [nearest Rte 248], and will proceed eastward disband at 7th St.
After parade, float will return to parking area for members.

Plans are to form up at American Legion Post 413, Pocono Pines 09:30, Step off is at 10:00,
ending at the cemetery/school. We will only be on Old Route 940 and the route is 8/10 of a mile. Old route was 1 mile.   It looks like parking and maneuvering will be tight - so if you must park there, get there early. Come and see our newly re-engineered float. It's a beautiful job.
Alternatively to parking at the legion - park at the end of the parade (the school) and the Barb float will pick you up at 09:10 for a ride to the beginning of the parade.   A memorial service will follow the parade.    Following the service, refreshments will be hosted at the Legion.

The school complex is located in Brodheadsville (Chestnuthill), PA (On Rte 209 , at the junction with route 115)   
The Barb will be on display at this event, which begins at 0800.
The gym open to display areas for students & community. Closing is 1:00-2:00 PM. Speakers all day long, briefly (5 minutes). Each period over 1000 students seated in gym.
Setup ( removal of the Barb from the trailer ) is the night before @ 6:00 PM to bring it into the new gym at the high school. There will be student help available .
Replacement of the Barb on the trailer ( which also requires 4 hands ) will be right after the event finishes.
Tobyhanna Elementary School in Pocono Pines
We will be having a presentation here if we receive an invitation.

25 Aug. - 2 Sept USSVI 2013 NATIONAL CONVENTION The Minneapolis/St. Paul Base of USSVI and the City of Rochester MN invite you to the 2013 Joint National Convention of the USSVI and the U.S. Submarine Veterans of WW2 to be held in Rochester, the home of the World Famous Mayo Clinic.
The Host Hotel will be the KAHLER GRAND in Downtown Rochester.

parade steps off at 1330 and preceeds down Peterson Rd. (Rt390)    
Basic directions - about 13 miles from Pocono Pines (East 10 Mi. on Rt 940, North 3 Mi. on Rt 390).    
For car pool or ride on float up to the beginning of parade, meet at Tom's house at noon .
Afterward, get together for chow & refreshments at Tom's house for members and guests.

Parade will proceed via Center St., 10th St., North St.(Rt903), 6th St., Center St. again, disbanding at 2nd St.
The event will be televised.   All parade participants are invited after the parade for refreshments at Memorial Hall.

Plans are to form up at Elementary School - 09:30; Step off is at 10:00.
Our USS Barb Float,  a Gato class Submarine will be brought to this parade.
Immediately following the parade and Memorial service, we will proceed to Lake Naomi to launch our base submarine. This is an all hands evolution which will include the launch into lake and transit with escort craft to a beach location where we will transfer the boat back onto our trailer for transport. At the conclusion of the Launch-Transit-Recovery operation we will proceed to the Legion for wet down and sustenance. Here's how it went down!

Hosted by Cincinnati Base - Cincinnati OH - Covington KY area   
11-12 Sept, (Sat-Sun) Belvidere Victorian Days. A 2 Day Show in the town square, Belvidere, NJ, off route 46.
Saturday, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm and Sunday, 11:30 am to 5:00 pm.
It will feature crafts and antique cars , and a lot of traffic potential.
This is an opportunity to sell raffle tickets, as it precedes our drawing.
We will need a minimum of 4 hands for the set up and 4 hands at the end, as well as coverage throughout the 2 days.
If we can get commitments for our manpower requirements , we will go. (...We did!)

Convening at 1100-1130 hrs and conclude no later than 1330-1400 depending on discussion.
