Pocono Base – USSVI – Meeting Minutes

Meeting called to order at 1935 at the Wilson Fisher Post, Pocono Pines
by Jeff Owens. [Executive board meeting started at 1815 before
regular meeting.]
Roll Call: Members present were: Mike Smith, Bill Klose, Frank
McDevitt, Rich Holmes, and Jeff Owens.
Guests: None
It was confirmed that a quorum was present.
The Minutes: Minutes were not read.
Treasurer’s Report: Bill Klose’s reported an ending balance $3742.56 on
12/31/2005 with several outstanding checks for about $100 in
obligations.
Committee Reports: None
Old Business:
PA Sub Vets plates still have not been received as of January. Money
has not been sent to Harrisburg yet. Gentleman handling plates wants
$20 to do this on top of the $20 for the plate itself.
New Business:
USSVI History book solicitation. They want to include base pictures,
change of commands, etc.
Eagle Scout Recognition Program. Special presentation by a member or
members of the local base to present certificates to new Eagle Scouts.
Secretary to draft letter to be sent to the various councils.
Regional convention to be held in Atlantic City on May 9-12 at the
Holiday Inn Boardwalk. 3 nights, 4 days. $30 in coins for slots,
including buffet for $249 per person
April 9 is the Deadline for the ad in the program book.
Motion made by Rich Holmes to place ad in Convention Program book.
2nd by Frank McDeavitt. All in favor.
Good of the Order:
Calendars: Donate the rest to veteran’s hospitals.
